PRESENTERS:

Jonathan Stockman, DVM, DACVN

After completing his veterinary degree and a rotating internship in Israel, Jonathan Stockman completed two residency programs at the University of California, Davis. He became a board certified (diplomate) veterinary nutritionist in 2014 after satisfying the requirements of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition (ACVN). He moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2016 after 3 years of living and working in the UK as a senior researcher in the Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition where he studied the nutritional requirement of dogs and cats and the impact of ageing on digestion and health. He is excited about starting the new Clinical Nutrition Service at Colorado State University, Veterinary Teaching Hospital. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Stockman also continues his research in the field of veterinary nutrition for dogs and cats in the vet hospital and on main campus.

Camille Torres, DVM

Dr. Camille Torres attended Colorado State for her undergraduate and veterinary education. After she earned her DVM in 2001, she went into small animal private practice in Albuquerque, N.M. She joined Community Practice at the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital in 2008, and earned her feline and canine DABVP certification in 2011. As a general practitioner, she has observed the power of preventive medicine. Seeing how preventing disease can be so much easier for a pet than treatment led her to explore the effects of obesity on companion animals and nutrition’s role in obesity management. Her enthusiasm for nutrition in multiple areas inspired her to seek additional training in the field of nutrition. Her furry family consists of one cat, a Corgi and a Yorkiepoo. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys, taking every opportunity to participate in the wonderful outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.
